How to turn the lockdown into an opportunity
My son Filippo and his personal journey during the lockdown.

I have an incredible son, his name is Filippo and he will be 20 years old in May. He is part of the generation Z, he is at the end of the 2nd year of his business undergraduate studies and like many of his fellow friends he now studies from home, due to the virus‘s imposed restrictions. He is busy with his studies, in all fairness, I would not describe him by being overwhelmed with exams, essays, and projects to be handed into his course. However, he has taken the lockdown time as an opportunity and started his online advertising business. He is applying many of the concepts that he is learning in his business economics classes and trying to get real monetary value from the learning. I am flattered with amusement from the way he is reacting to this crisis, instead of complaining about the lack friends or girlfriends or freedom and spending lots of time playing remotely with his friends on the play-station or whatever is the online game name, he is really trying to do something concrete, he is looking at leveraging the crisis for his own growth benefits, with minimal risk ….. he has always been a superb networker, he is charming, very well polished and now he is also putting himself forward as a self -confident young man. This is the positive aspect that I like about this unique lockdown — stay home phase, you can try to do or take action on topics that otherwise you would have never tried! Let's keep the positive vibes moving, lets’ get real work done. Even if he fails, which I doubt, it will still be a success, the learnings, the exposure, the gaining, that he would have acquired with minimal risk-taking, is invaluable, sincerely impossible to attach a value tag to such an experience. Opportunities are everywhere, you just need to be smart enough to see them and run with them fast. This venture will also help him strengths his curriculum vitae. I am sure that headhunters will ask question in the near future about: What have you done during the lockdown? well, he will have lots to say in his reply. Opportunities are everywhere, you just need to be smart enough to see them and run with them. It is common talk that when we emerge from this situation, things will be different. I hope that my son, that has been investing his time wisely, will find himself, during the post lockdown phase, on top of his game and his studies, of course.
