Do you have a number 50?
--
What is it? A bingo wake-up call? The magic number? A lottery-winning ticket?
No, it is our 50th customer! Because after only four months in business we have sold to 50 customers more than 100 products. Not bad for a newly established company and a lady who has never been an entrepreneur. Forget about being a green tech entrepreneur!!!!
But the path has not been easy to climb. A couple of days ago, my husband asked if I could share a company software password, and I told him he could and where he could find the file. He comes back and says, “ Denise, do you know how many passwords you have in your file? “ me “ no, not really” husband“ 19….and do you know what it means” me “ no, but maybe it is the explanation why I never remember them?” husband ”no, it means that to run the business you manage 19 different software, and that is not an easy part to learn.” WOW, he was correct; I never connected the dots….but 19 passwords mean access to 19 software.
If I look back, I am proud of myself, the amount of work I got done, and the tools and strategies I learned to use, implement and manage 19 different software. Not BAD, my darling, not bad at all! And on top of that, we have sold to 50 customers more than 100 products in 10 different countries. Saying that I am more than happy would be a very sterile description of my emotions, but at the same time, I understand how important it is to recognize good work to keep pushing on other areas where I do not outstand.
However, 50 is a nice number to celebrate. As an entrepreneur, you get many days where you fight your daily corners, so I said there must be moments where I celebrate achievements to remember them during the difficult days ahead?
For me, today is already tomorrow, and while I write to all of you and try to inspire you in your entrepreneur journey, I am already thinking about what tomorrow’s challenge will be and will be able to solve it. And also trying to imagine when will gain our 100th customer and how will I celebrate it or communicate it!
